We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to earn a living doing a job we love, selling the same quality fishing tackle we use ourselves on a regular basis.
We honestly believe we sell the best value for money fishing tackle in the UK, and have superb quality rods, reels and fishing tackle for Sea, Coarse and Fly fishing. We would happily match our fishing rods and reels against many rods and reels costing 3 times as much and thousands of our customers agree with us.
The majority of our fishing tackle comes from the highly respected Fladen Fishing Tackle Company of Sweden, the superb value for money fishing tackle they produce has encouraged thousands of new anglers to try our fantastic sport and, I think it speaks volumes about the quality of the Fladen tackle that, even after many years in the sport, their first choice is still Fladen Fishing Tackle.
Just this year Fladen fishing tackle has caught 30+ Sea Bass over 6 lb from our local pier alone, no mean feat when you consider that the majority of the rod reel combinations used on that pier were bought from our shop for less than £30, and that includes the line and end tackle.
As the manager of a popular fishing tackle shop I have to believe in the tackle we stock to sell it confidently, and with over 40 years fishing experience using all makes of fishing tackle I have no problem selling the fishing tackle we stock.
You certainly don't have to spend a lot of money on fishing tackle to participate in the sport successfully, using the right tackle in the right place with the right bait will always pay dividends.
This knowledge is easily acquired from fellow anglers on your first few trips, you with your £20 rod will catch 10 times more than some one using a £300 rod that doesn't take as much interest.
It is obviously in the best interest of any fishing tackle shop to sell you the most expensive fishing tackle, indeed a lot of tackle shops would make more profit on one fishing reel than we would make on a complete fishing kit, including all the end tackle.
I know we do not have as large a range of fishing tackle as some tackle shops stock, and the profit margins on our fishing tackle is probably the lowest in the UK the popularity of the tackle more than makes up for it.,
When you consider for instance our 14 ft Charter Beach Casters; we buy them in 200 at a time and have sold over 2,000 in the last 2 years alone ( and with only 3 breakages I might add ) you can see why value for money fishing tackle is so popular, especially in the present economic climate..
